The Insurance Expense Exhibit Benchmarking report is a comprehensive, presentation-quality, graphical report that facilitates the comparison of an insurer's expense exhibit data for a specific line of business with the same data for up to ten peer companies.  This easy-to-run report loads directly in Excel™ via our Excel™ Add-In, InsLink.  After selecting a subject company and a line of business, you can select peers from a complete list of insurance companies sorted by net premiums earned for the chosen line of business. This sorted listing provides a convenient way to find companies with similar "line-specific" net premiums earned. The resulting report contains profit/(loss) data along with calculations of standard operating ratios for the subject company and each of the peers. The report also computes peer averages and medians. Insurance Expense Exhibit data is required to be filed with the NAIC by April 1 annually.
