Our Life, Accident & Health Datasets include the NAIC Finance, State, and Quarterly LAH datasets, as well as several key schedules:
Schedule D (Securities) is a comprehensive source for all bond, preferred, and common stock holdings for insurance companies filing with the NAIC. Annual Schedule D data is available in Insurance Analyst PRO, U.S. Insurance, and Insurance Analyst. Quarterly Schedule D information is available with Insurance Analyst PRO.
The Separate Accounts dataset is designed for professionals who need to analyze the Separate Accounts statements filed by more than 245 life insurance companies with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). The Separate Accounts data encompasses more than $700 billion worth of assets held by life insurers in the form of qualified pension plans and retirement funds, including tax-deferred savings vehicles, such as the 401(K), 403(b), and Keogh Plans.
In addition to assets, liabilities, and a recap of operations, the Separate Accounts statement highlights the various types of premiums and deposits received, how they are reserved, and the related expenses. Schedules showing how the assets are invested, including Schedule A and Schedule D, the Asset Valuation Reserve (AVR), and Interest Maintenance Reserve (IMR), are provided in the product. Six years of history is available.
The data contained in this dataset details how some of the largest companies in the industry handle their assets. The Separate Accounts statement is particularly useful for conducting competitive research, for benchmarking financial performance, and for performing actuarial analysis. The product includes an accounting of total benefits paid, as well as the amount of funds set aside for future payouts. Investment management expenses, a useful tool for benchmarking, are detailed, as are the IMR and AVR schedules. Combine this data with the robust functionality of our U.S. Insurance software package, and you've got a powerful solution to your research and analysis needs.
Schedule S (Reinsurance) contains the line-by-line detail of Parts 1 through 6 for the approximately 1,800 Life, Accident, & Health insurers filing an Annual Statement with the NAIC in the most recent filing year. In addition, historical data is provided for the subtotal and total lines contained in Parts 1 through 6.
